WHAT'S BREWING

What's Brewing is a beer festival in Stavanger, Norway. The festival hosts many different breweries from around the world, and is known for their fun and different concepts. I got the opportunity to present my suggestion for a festival concept to them (through Noroff fagskole).

I produced simplified logo for this year's festival, poster, festival guide, social media etc. Graphic elements, illustrations and one font is designed by me.

Regarding the Norwegian laws about advertisement, it's not allowed to promote alcohol. Because of this, I chose to focus on the ingredients in the different types of beer, rather than the beer itself. 

My concept for the festival is "Twisted reality", which at the time was relevant because of covid. Because everyone was isolated for nearly two years, it almost felt like a new world or a twisted reality to finally be able to go outside and be social again. 

The concept was visualized in a surreal style, combined with elements from the real world. I also included ingredients from the beers at the festival, to show how it can affect your experience with drinking beer.
